I have had the wonderful pleasure to be called mom by 4 wonderful children each who teach me a new lesson daily, as they have their entire lives. A younger brother who is my oldest by adoption that showed me the joy of becoming a parent and the challenges it can raise. After a divorce with my children's father and life as a single mother. I remarried in 2020 to a wonderful man and my best friend. I'm Tia to all my bonus babies. Raised by my grandparents who instilled a love and passion for serving family and community. To respect the innate strength that women posses. To be understanding of others lives and viewpoints, cultures and traditions. I love that all of my favorite lessons from them are incorporated in how I live my life and how serve my clients and their families.
I support all birthing methods and locations, all birthing people, religions and customs. My passion is serving families in achieving the birth they desire.
Being a momma is my greatest passion. To help others achieve the same is for sure the only thing that comes close to second.
When not working, my family enjoys finding new adventures. We are a nerd home working security at conventions, going camping, rock climbing, exploring new places together. We have a menagerie of pets we love to spoil.
I have personals experience in loss in pregnancy and at birth. I have experienced unmedicated vaginal birth, medicated vaginal birth, induction, caesarean, emergency caesarean, and VBAC. I have also had the displeasure of NICU stays. Though my personal experiences are minimal, compared to the the knowledge gained through my clients experiences.
These are all irrelevant because no two births are the same. As no two people are the same. Though I have experience to pull from, YOUR birth is UNIQUE and should be in my opinion. When I serve you, its about you and your present birth experience.
I started birth work with my first pregnancy in 2005. I found a passion for how women and families grow in all aspects in pregnancy and their parenthood journey. After a loss I pulled back from birth work and got a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. I stayed home with My children when they started coming in multiples. As they grew I felt the pull to serve my community again. In 2019 I recertified to become a birth Doula and haven't stopped my growing education in the birth field since.
Being trusted to serve families in such a sacred time is truly my lifelong calling. My passion. One of my greatest honors. Thank you.
